About This Show
The Umamies are a Minneapolis based band of Asian American musicians with Filipino and Japanese backgrounds. They uniquely create a dream orchestral pop sound which draws upon their classical roots. Their original songs invoke an intimate environment layered with vulnerable lyrics and heartfelt melodies. Primarily a trio of keyboard, violin, and voice, they also incorporate looped beats, lofi sounds, and ambient synth.
