Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra

This performance is part of Wynton Marsalis’ final season as Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and Music Director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. “Technically precise and emotionally charged,” the ensemble has been praised for its “versatility and deep understanding of jazz traditions” ( The Wall Street Journal ), while working hard to preserve the genre for the present day — performing everything from new commissions to masterworks by artists like Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk.
